Ever onwards!

In Carcasonne the imagination knows no limit. I just couldn't stop taking pictures!

In the morning Mixie and I set off to discover the surroundings outside La Cité. It's amazing how it looms up behind you, so huge!

Vi found the river Aude, and a nice canal. Then we climbed back to La Cité on the slopes leading up to the fortified walls.

The thing with climbing is that you have to remember to look over your shoulder...

...and then once you've reached the top, to look up, UP!

One last look over my shoulder as we left Carcasonne in the middle of the vineyards, heading towards the Pyrenées.

The rolling hillsides and the vineyards gradually gave way to the steeper mountains...

Ofcourse there aren't enough film or enough words in my world to describe and share the beauty of the Pyrenées. We followed them down to Perpignan, quite close to the Spanish border. Then we turned north-east following the coast towards Provence.

Seaside dog, not the bravest of her kind, but still willing.

Leaving the coast behind, we turned towards Arles...

San Remo

What can I say? It's a beautiful beautiful place, and despite the fact that we only spent one night there I just know we will go back very soon. I mean, it's only a little more than an hour away! I've put together two albums with "Italian Poetry", which I intend to just dump here with out any comments. Why? Well because I'm late for work, and also because a picture say more than...

Well, that was Italian Poetry I...

Here comes no. II

Ecco my friends!

After the Rain

The hot weather broke last night, and we had some rain. So refreshing, and so well timed! The newly-washed garden is a delight, and I can't wait to see how the mushrooms in the forest are getting on!

La Dolce Vita

I'm currently helping a friend by staying nights in her house. She's ninety and doesn't feel comfortable alone. These are the first pictures from my ten nights in her big old house, with the big old garden. More to follow.

My pretty old-fashioned bed-room with an en-suite bathroom.

The views, some zoom's been used...

Full moon over the Riviera. See that silvery Mediterranean....
