Ever onwards!

In Carcasonne the imagination knows no limit. I just couldn't stop taking pictures!

In the morning Mixie and I set off to discover the surroundings outside La Cité. It's amazing how it looms up behind you, so huge!

Vi found the river Aude, and a nice canal. Then we climbed back to La Cité on the slopes leading up to the fortified walls.

The thing with climbing is that you have to remember to look over your shoulder...

...and then once you've reached the top, to look up, UP!

One last look over my shoulder as we left Carcasonne in the middle of the vineyards, heading towards the Pyrenées.

The rolling hillsides and the vineyards gradually gave way to the steeper mountains...

Ofcourse there aren't enough film or enough words in my world to describe and share the beauty of the Pyrenées. We followed them down to Perpignan, quite close to the Spanish border. Then we turned north-east following the coast towards Provence.

Seaside dog, not the bravest of her kind, but still willing.

Leaving the coast behind, we turned towards Arles...

Here, and now

I just had to share this very lovely tuesday-view from my window. The air is crisp, and the horizon is razor-sharp...

Summer re-captured II

It's best ofcourse to finish what I've started. This isn't something that comes very easily to me, but... a girl's gotta.....
I continue my re-cap. of the summer, to be able to move on to new and who knows, greener pastures. Here goes:

Some mixed things; views from the cottage, and some of all the mushrooms Mixie and I found late in August.

We finally, after years of talking about it, managed to go on a picnic to one of the island in the southern archipleago.
Beautiful! It will happen again, so help me!

More Magic

My Magical Summer continues in a very tranquil way. It's been quite some time since I've had free time that's this peaceful. The weather continues to be good, even though there's a haze in the sky today, which I hope will dissipate as the day grows warmer. To pass the time I'll decided to do some baking, and while I'm waiting for the dough to rise what better way to spend my time than to select some more magical moments?
